I have the latest version of netscan and have changed three machine names on the network - deleted the xml file and the software is still showing the old names for the new IP address. This does not happen with other scanners - what's going on?

Most probably it's DNS cache, either built-in Windows one, or in a third-party firewall installed on this computer.
