Updating SoftPerfect RAM Disk to a new version

Hi,

I am wondering if updating my version of RAM Disk requires a clean install (remove installed before installing new) or if I can simply override the old version with the new.

I am on Windows 7 SP1 x64 and SoftPerfect RAM Disk version is 3.4.2 .
I plan to install latest version 3.4.5.

Usually I stick on updates, but,
- reading updates history for RAM Disk since 3.4.2 seemed to concern mainly Windows 8 ;
- my version 3.4.2 works like a charm.

It requires a clean install (that is uninstall - reboot - install).

If version 3.4.2 works fine for you, there is no need to update it
