Monitoring all traffic but having different statistics

Hi

Using portable version of Networx and monitoring all traffic. Is it possible to get such statistics later from this recorded data:

- how much data were down-/uploaded (in week, month, certain days...) in total (All traffic) - /this info I get/
- how much data were down-/uploaded (in week, month, certain days...) in LAN
- how much data were down-/uploaded (in week, month, certain days...) ignoring LAN (Internet traffic beyond router, WAN)

...while using only one instance of Networx running?

Does Networx adds and keeps some bits'n'bytes in datafile which marks its traffic as LAN or beyond router (WAN)?

No, it's not possible because LAN traffic isn't recorded.

But I'm sure it will be available in future, right? winking smiley

May be not, since there little practical use in recording free LAN traffic.

What do you need it for (other than "nice to have")?

You mean by default/at all period or if you select that option in the settings menu?

It's just ignored. There is no setting to make it recorded.

Sorry if I'm being dense here, but what is the "Ignore local traffic within the LAN" setting for and why does it want you to download WinPCap if it's not recording that info anyway even if it's monitoring it? Or is the distinction between "monitor" and "record" the sticking point here and it shows that data in the program, but not in the saved logged? I don't WANT to record/display it, I want the LAN ignored, hence my query.

There is an explanation here.

When you are connected to a LAN and you want to monitor your Internet traffic only, that's where this feature is used.

Whenever you access another computer or device on the LAN, this traffic is not taken into account.
Whenever you access the Internet, this traffic is monitored and recorded.
