Connection monitor - feature or bug?   24 June 2014, 11:17

I am using version 5.3.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate. I've tried it on both 32 bit and 64 bit version of NetWorx. Even when I lose connection the log does not get filled in. I see that the duration gets reset thought.

Hope you fix that, otherwise great program!!!

It's by design.
With the default settings, the connection is logged as off-line if two consecutive pings have failed. Pings are sent every 30 seconds, which effectively means a connection has to be off-line for over 30 seconds to be logged. This is to prevent false records, for example when the computer or network is temporarily under a heavy load.

If you want to change this, download the latest version from the home page and see this page.

Great, thank you!
I see why you did it this way smile Clever
My hidden settings finish with this item "Show unit (bytes or bits) on the graph displays the current unit on the graph, either bits/s or bytes/s."
and on the web site I see after this item there are two more - > "Connection monitor timeout " and "Connection monitor retries". Just the ones I need.
I don't know why I don't see them in the software. I checked the whole list anyway but there are missing somehow.

That's why I mentioned download the latest version. It will have the settings for timeout and number of retries wink

This feature has been added this morning and is in the changelog.
