Router monitoring using UPnP   24 July 2014, 00:38

I found Networx while searching for a program to monitor my internet usage, since the data usage meter my internet provider, Cox, uses is reporting heavy usage over the last couple of weeks. I have a Lynksys E2000 router and when I choose to monitor the router instead of my pc only the UPNP option is available. Earlier posts mention using the SNMP option to track router usage; is there a difference between using the SNMP or UPNP options? Thanks for a very useful program.

You can use whichever works for you, and here is more information about SNMP and UPnP.

Thanks Andrew. I can already see that my actual usage is much less than Cox is reporting.
