Usage Monitor is not recording usage stats   14 September 2014, 15:13

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to configure the usage monitor to record stats about my Internet usage. In NetWorx under monitoring, I have picked my wireless card that my laptop uses via the "Network and Sharing Centre" page in Windows. But usage reporting stays at zero.
I have tried all other options that might possibly be the 'wireless' card but still no luck. Have I done anything wrongly?

Thanks in advance.

That's really strange as you did indeed select the correct adapter.

I suggest to try ticking the Ignore local traffic within the LAN option as this option uses a different data collection method that may work better.

Answered my own question!

If you set the time slots to 'Unmetered', Networx will not monitor (duh!) your internet usage at all. This includes the Usage Report that I was complaining about!

Serendipitous! I was setting up another copy of Networx for another computer when i discovered the answer to my problem! I went back to the copy that had the problem and found that I must have set all the time slots to 'Unmetered'.

Thanks anyway, Andrew!
