Two or three times now we have noticed that Print Inspector has stopped logging activity on all our printers. The service/process is still running but no activity is being logged. If I restart the service on the print server, it will start logging again but will stop again after a random period of time.
Do you have any ideas on what could be causing this?
Generally these errors suggest that for some reason the print server loses connection to printers.
As a workaround, I would recommend creating a scheduled task that will restart the Print Inspector service, say daily at 7am. Here is a guide on how to do that. This should improve the situation with monitoring.
