Is it possible to add an option for hp ilo discovery? An example script is on the link below but it's running on linux. Thank you.

Maybe smile

Try scanning your network for this port 17988. I looked at the script and they are scanning that port and then polling information. If you have the SNMP options checked in NetScan you might get information that states they are iLO devices. -WS

Does this work from the Windows Command Prompt:
wmic /node:remotehost bios get serialnumber

Or PowerShell:
(Remove the space after http. It was added to prevent the conversion of the message text into a link)
$doc = New-object System.XML.XMLDocument
$doc.Load(“http ://server-ilo-name/xmldata?item=All“)
write-host $doc.RIMP.MP.PN

Since we haven't got any ILOs available, we'll need your assistance with testing.

For now, try opening the following URL in a browser:
http: //x.x.x.x/xmldata?item=All
Replace x.x.x.x with an ILO's IP address. There should be some XML output that I need to see.

Thanks, I think we'll add a universal data parser to fetch and query any XML data. This will work with ILOs as well. Stay tuned smile

Thank you. But will there be an option in the menu just like dhcp discovery?

No, DHCP works by sending and receiving broadcast messages. ILOs cannot be discovered this way.

You will have to scan the network (your IP address range) with ILO data retrieval on.

ILO support has been implemented in the latest build.

See Options - Remote XML:

It's possible with a regex, there's been a default entry in NetScan for a long time:
