Lookup NIC vendor

Lookup NIC vendor   23 October 2012, 10:34

When I try to run netscan with the Lookup NIC vendor option selected I always receive the popup error telling me to download the text file.

The text file database is downloaded to the same directory as the program and can be opened successfully in notepad.

Re-saved the file in a different manner which seams to have worked.

I think when saving the file it was putting in some HTML code in the file.

The software downloads the file from here.

When I try to download the OUI.TXT file I constantly get an error message: OLE error 800C0008

Anyone knows what goes wrong?

Probably Internet Explorer is set to Work Offline. Check File - Work Offline or Tools - Work Offline in Internet Explorer's main menu or download the file manually from the above mentioned location.
