Shared folder security information

Shared folder security information   11 May 2018, 00:05

I appreciate your answers to my questions in other threads. That said, I have two more.

First: when I scan, the shared folder security or readers or writes may contain a line that read Everyone: R or RWF. But the subsequent lines will be blank.

Additional question, No DACL? If I understand this correctly, this means that everyone has full access?

I am not sure exactly about the first line reading Everyone: R and the subsequent lines being blank. Could you please attach a screenshot?

Yes, No DACL means a null DACL, that is everyone can access.

It is not clear from this screenshot whether it's a blank row between devices or between shared folders. The former indicates the application was unable to retrieve share security information for a specific device. The latter indicates the same for a specific shared source.

Generally if you are interested in the security settings of your shares, I recommend the free ShareEnum utility from Microsoft.
