Using PC speaker for notification sounds   03 January 2015, 22:22

Hello,

I have updated from 5.4.12 to 6.0.2.

I would have 2 questions:

1)
Would it possible to add a feature that instead of playing a wav-file the internal pc-speaker makes a sound?
The user should be able to activate "Play Sound" or it should be possible to click another checkbox "Play Sound on internal speaker". The user also should be able to activate both features - playing wav-file and a sound on the internal pc-speaker.

2)
Why there are such a lot of spaces (tabs) in the logfile.
On the screenshot you see that release 5.4.12 only wrote one tab space to the logfile, the 6.0.2 release makes 5 or 6 tabs. The older format was more comfortable to read!

Best Regards

Just specify a blank line (no file name) and the built-in speaker will be used instead. This may not work on some motherboards though. At the moment there is no way to both play a WAV file and beep the speaker.

As to the multiple tabs issue, I am afraid this is not reproducible. Perhaps you have some blank columns with no data?
The latest version writes one tab between each column, in the same way the previous version did. This screen shot shows the output of the latest version:
