NetScan Error Message - External Exception C06D007F   03 March 2015, 02:25

Good Morning,

I am getting this error with version 6.0.3 or 6.0.4 on Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64. I tried the 64bit and the 32bit versions of NetScan with the same message.

Dell PowerEdge T710
4GB Ram
6 Broadcom BCM5709C NICs

Any ideas?

Thanks -WS

This means one of the required DLLs was not found, or a function in a DLL was not found.

Does it pop up on startup or ...?

After I start the scan. Do you know which DLL, I really need to do a scan from this server? -WS

Let's run the debug package and see. Please download it, run and reproduce the error. It should automatically send a bug report, but if it doesn't, it will be copied to the clipboard, so please post it here.

This error occurs because in your scan you have IPv6 scanning turned on, but on Windows 2003 IPv6 support is not complete and some functions are not available.

Though I have fixed the crash itself, IPv6 scans won't work correctly on Windows XP or 2003. You can download the fixed build here.

Patched version works correctly without disabling IPv6. This does make the software more compatible with older versions of Windows Server OS.

Many thanks for the update.
