Scanning IP range for non-Windows devices   12 February 2016, 08:58

Hi, I want to scan non-Windows devices which have no WMI enabled. Such as Linux / unix / IP cameras / security sensors etc, which have IP enabled and I can ping them using cmd. I want to get IP and manufacturing details from these devices.

Please guide, how I can do this. Thanks.

The usual way: entering their IP range and ticking the options you want. Some will work (for example the OS detection works when Samba is running on a target machine), some won't as there's no equivalent in Linux.

Sometimes you can find a solution faster if you try the forum search, have a look at the knowledge base, or check the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
