PowerShell affecting memory performance

PowerShell affecting memory performance   01 November 2016, 13:59

Just curious about the following: every time I use the internal feature of powershell (on win 10) I notice one instance of powershell.exe and console host for every IP scanned and the memory performance of the computer drops drastically. I'm not sure if it happens on other OSs.

Yes, that's how NetScan works: it launches a separate instance of PowerShell for every IP address and captures it output. Unfortunately as PowerShell is written in .NET we can't interface with it directly. You may want to decrease the number of parallel threads in NetScan if that slows things down.
