Script authentication   19 January 2017, 11:24

Hi Andrew.

Just to let you know that doing some test over a vpn tunnel i found that the scripts might fail - results were - "Permission denied: 'GetObject'" - This make me check over the defined accounts just to find out that on scripts options wasn't an authentication option like on remote wmi or remote powershell. Bye.

That's by design. A script is just a program, it can't be authenticated itself and it doesn't know how to connect to a remote system - WMI does.

The error you are getting stems from the WMI subsystem or somewhere in the DCOM-RPC-WMI chain. Here are a few discussions and possible workarounds for this issue: one, two, three.
