NMAP column data lost after saving and loading from XML   19 December 2019, 10:07

Question 1:
The information in columns discovered through integration with NMAP is not saved to XML or loaded back into Network Scanner. Only first 5 default columns are loaded back into Net Scanner after loading saved XML. How can I include the NMAP related columns and save them so they can be opened in Net Scanner later?

Question 2:
Coping and pasting Net Scanner results into Excel works well. But is there a way to also copy and paste the column headings so they don't have to be all retyped into Excel?

Sorry we were unable to reproduce this issue. Please try with the latest version (7.2.6) and if the issue persist, provide more info, including your configuration file saved to an XML file.

Regarding exporting data to MS Excel, simply save the data as a CSV file and then it should be opened by MS Excel perfectly well, with all the headers.
Hi,
As you requested please find additional details of the issue and the related XML and CSV files. All in a single zip.

I didn't realize there was a drop-down list with a CSV option until you stated so. Thanks!

I also forgot to mention earlier that the XML file when reloaded on the system where it was created loads back as expected with all 20 columns displayed.

The issue where some columns don't show up on system B when you transfer the data from system A is caused by different config files used in each system.

For example, when on system A the network scanner is configured to have columns C, D, E, F, G, H, while on system B it is configured to have only columns C, E, H. What you need is to have identical configurations on both systems.

So, to solve the problem, simply export the current config from system A and transfer it to system B along with the data file. Import the config file and then load the data file. Everything should work well then.
That solved the problem, thank you!
