Error Code 5 during installation

Error Code 5 during installation   05 December 2025, 09:40

Unfortunately, I cannot install the software. I keep getting this message:

C:\Program Files\SoftPerfect Network Scanner\netscan.exe
CreateProcess schlug fehl; Code 5.
Zugriff verweigert.

English translation:

File cannot be executed:

CreateProcess failed; code 5.
Access denied.


What can I do to resolve this?

Error 5 is usually caused by antivirus or other security software blocking the application.

Please check your antivirus or security logs, and add both the downloaded Network Scanner installer and then the installed Network Scanner application to the allowlist/whitelist/exclusions.
