Ping monitor feature

In networking environments, having an IP address monitoring tool is critical because it provides:

I am considering buying the Network Scanner, and would like to know if maybe in the roadmap these features could be integrated to this app.

Network Scanner does actually include a feature called Live Display that provides continuous scanning capabilities. When enabled, it keeps monitoring your network in the background, automatically detecting new devices as they come online and identifying those that have left the network. This gives you ongoing visibility without needing to manually rescan each time.

That said, there's an architectural distinction between network scanners and dedicated monitoring tools. Network Scanner is fundamentally designed for discovery, inventory, and point-in-time analysis: identifying what's on your network, checking open ports, gathering system information, and so on. Live Display extends this with real-time updates, but it's not built around the alerting, historical data collection, and latency trending that purpose-built monitoring platforms provide.

Thank you very much for your clear response about the ping features. Live Display seems like a great feature in Network Scanner. I will activate it and maybe it will help me with my requirements.
