Duplicates in scan results (multiple connections to the same computer)

Network Scanner is detecting multiple connections to the same computers: it shows same host name and uptime for them, but different IP addresses. Why?

This is most likely because the computer has multiple network interfaces, for example a built-in Ethernet, a docking station NIC, Wi-Fi, or virtual adapters from VPN or Hyper-V. Each interface has its own IP and MAC address, but they all belong to the same machine, which is why you see identical hostname and uptime across all those entries.

Network Scanner discovers each IP address independently, so a machine with several active interfaces will appear with a separate row for each one.
