Early RamDisk boot, for RamOS   01 December 2014, 22:57

Hello,

I want to make an operating system running on the ramdisk (ramos) by the softperfect ramdisk. So I want to manage the ramdisk to boot earlier, together with the core of windows. After I changed the value of "start" from "1" to "0" in the HKLM\system\services\SPVDPort and HKLM\system\services\SPVVEngine, I rebooted the system, and got a message "Initialisation of VVLIB failed". The ramdisk couldn't work.

So could I ask which driver or service do these two ramdisk services depend on? Is it possible to set the value of "start" to "0" to make the ramdisk boot earlier?

Sorry for my poor English and thank you for your advice!

Earlier boot is not supported in the current version. We're working on it though and it should be possible in the next release.

We have encountered a technical issue with implementing this feature and are looking for a workaround. I am afraid I can't give any estimates on how soon this can be solved, though I hope soon.

Andrew,
Still no possibility for the early boot ?
I will still wait for it.

No, there's still no early boot. I'd recommend using another product if this is crucial.
