"Driver initialisation failed" on Windows 11 24H2

Hi,

I just have updated my Windows 11 to the latest service release. Unfortunately after that RAM Disk came up with this message:
"Driver initialisation failed"

I'm using the latest version of the RAM Disk, 4.4.2

Any ideas?

It's probably that something wasn't carried over correctly after that Windows update.

What does typing the following commands in the command prompt show?

sc query SPVVEngine
sc query SPVDPort

Starting this morning, the RAM Disk is working again. Strange, but OK for me

I had no problems with my laptop after updating to Windows 24h2.

Thank you for letting us know. It's great news that RAM Disk is now working for you.

According to your output, the drivers got installed and are functioning correctly. It is hard to tell why it did not work before, but the most likely reason might be that some security software was initially blocking the drivers, but then realised that the RAM Disk application is safe, and allowed it to run properly.
