Automatic Firefox start setting with RAMdisk on startup   24 April 2025, 17:21

I'm planning to put Firefox profile folders in RAMdisk. Since my RAMdisk starts on boot, will this have conflicts with the Firefox setting 'Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up'? Or will RAMdisk start first always?

Generally, if you configure the RAM disk to start At Startup rather than At Logon, it should work fine, as the RAM disk will be created in the early stages of the system boot-up process.

However, timing issues are possible. So, for the best reliability, it is preferable to launch Firefox using the Automatically Starting Applications feature.
