How to increase RAM disk size across multiple machines

We currently have a RAM Disk configured with a size of 100MB on multiple machines. We need to increase its size to 512MB across all relevant systems.

Could you please advise on the best way to apply this change to multiple computers simultaneously? If there is an existing script or group policy method we can use, I would appreciate your guidance or assistance in implementing it.

If your systems utilise RAM disks that are created at startup, you can update the configuration by modifying this registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SPVVEngine\Options\Auto\X:

where X: represents your RAM disk drive letter.
In that key, you will need to change the VolumeSize value to 536870912 (which corresponds to 512MB in bytes: 512*1024*1024).

To apply this change across multiple machines, you could use a Group Policy Preference (GPP) for deploying the registry change, or alternatively, a startup script with reg add commands via Group Policy or a systems management tool such as SCCM or Intune. Please note that a system reboot will be required for the new RAM disk size to take effect.
