Disabled SSL e-mail alerts. Doubling keystrokes in Comments 10 April 2015, 20:06

Two questions:

1) SSL email alerts are disabled because it says, OpenSSL Libraries are required. Do I need to rebuild...? Or is there another version to download.

2) On my Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1 64bit system, when I type in the comment field of a device, I get two keystrokes for every keystroke. So if I type "Keystroke" I will get "KKeeyyssttrrookkee" Any ideas?

This could be because WiFi Guard was not able to find OpenSSL. It looks for libssl.so and libcrypto.so, not version specific.

On our test Ubuntu installation it was fixed either by installing openssl-dev or making a couple of symbolic links:

sudo ln -s libssl.so.1.0.0 libssl.so
sudo ln -s libcrypto.so.1.0.0 libcrypto.so

As to the keystrokes issue, it's probably caused by a bug in the underlying component library that WiFi Guard uses. We are planning to publish an update built against the newer version of the library soon, so hopefully it'll work fine then.
