How to use Switch Port Mapper (Console Version)   30 January 2014, 04:22

Although the license was purchased and (Gui Version) operated as license mode, the (Console Version) will operate in DEMO mode.
Please teach me how to make it operate as License Version.

Just copy the key's contents (between the BEGIN and END markers) and save it as nsmapcon.key in the same folder where the console version is.

Sorry about this, we'll add documentation soon and mention how apply a license key to the console version of the tool.

Thank you for the information.
It failed, although tried instantly.

In GUI version, it is Licence which operates normally.
It is displayed as "Provided license key is incorrect in" case of ConsoleVersion.
Is any additional setup required?

If ver1.0.2 is reinstalled, the license of ConsoleVersion will be created automatically.
When using this license, it operated correctly.

It seemed that 'was unnecessary.
"------ KEY BEGIN KEY ------" "------ KEY END KEY ------"

------ KEY BEGIN KEY ------ <-- Cut Here
...key’s contents...
------ KEY END KEY ------ <- Cut Here

thank you for your consideration.
Is there a way to remove values from being scanned in the console version? Also can we manipulate the output as in the order it is saved?

I guess you are looking for the /column: name, name, ... switch that allows you to select what information will be retrieved and printed.

As to the order, it's currently sorted by port ID and then sub-entries are sorted by MAC address. How would you like to manipulate it?
We would like to remove the vendor field. We are receiving commas in some of our vendor names and makes it really hard to parse the fields we want out. It would also be nice to only pull the fields we want so we could easily dump the output into a database.

The /column switch is what we're looking for, but when we use /output:some.csv - all fields are still exported to the resulting .csv

We have updated the software to respect the /column switch when saving CSV and HTML files.

Please download the update and let me know how it works for you.
Wow, Thank you Andrew, Playing with it now, so far so good.

I was using /columns instead of /column by accident, seems to work, maybe it should be removed as it gives weird results (i need /columns:", first column", or else the first column is missed

One Question: Would it be easy to format the output table in the same order as you syntax of the command you run?
i.e.: column:"VLAN,Port Name" outputs as; Port Name, VLAN

Sure, please try the latest build.

Now it should respect the column order when saving from GUI and the /column switch when using the console version.
