Does SwitchPort Mapper support LLDP or CDP? Either natively or through an application add on?

Currently it does not, however I think we can easily add it.

What features would you like to have?

Hello,

yes CDP and LLDP Information would be great.
Information local port, remote port, remote MAC, remote IP and so on.
Will be helpful for scanning devices and find links between Switches and Routers

I'd like to add my weight behind this request. Although the SNMP feature is useful, when performing site surveys, LLDP and CDP would save a lot of time and would allow scanning devices with dynamic IP's to collect results without having to modify each switches SNMP settings.

Thank you.

Thank you, I will see what we can do. It appears this will require WinPCap in order to listen LLCP/CDP messages.

Thank you for letting us know Andrew. When you get this implemented, I'll order a copy smile

Bringing up the old topic, we've implemented CDP and LLDP support at last in version 1.0.7 wink
