Monitoring Hyper-V virtual adapters from the host machine   04 September 2022, 21:33

Hi,

Is there a way to monitor virtual adapters created by Hyper-V?

Thank you.

NetGenius can't monitor Hyper-V adapters or any other traffic originating from the Windows kernel. This is because it runs at a higher level in the network stack to intercept network activity along with process information, while virtual network adapters are located at a lower level.

If you want to monitor Hyper-V adapters, I'd recommend a different tool called NetWorx. It can run in two modes: adapter monitoring and application monitoring. The former will let you monitor any adapters, including virtual ones.

Sometimes you can find a solution faster if you try the forum search, have a look at the knowledge base, or check the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
