Managing bandwidth on a dedicated server   30 May 2006, 01:06

Hi,

I have a dedicated server, running many different game/ftp/web/teamspeak etc etc servers.

I also have a bandwidth limit id like to stay below, your bandwidth manager looks just what im looking for,

My question is, does it manage the bandwidth on the same machine its installed on? I run a singal dedicated server connected to a dataceter pipe. I want to manage the bandwidth only on this machine, there is no network to manage,

Will this be possible with your product?

Thanks,

David

Hi David.

Yes, it controls the bandwidth of the machine where it is installed and any traffic passed from/to/through this PC. So, if you your server runs Windows, it is a good choice to install the SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager on this server to apply specific bandwidth restrictions.

Andrew.
