Unable to register any changes in bandwidth   28 August 2006, 12:59

Hi,

I have a network card on my computer whose MAC address gets changed periodically for various reasons, but needs its bandwidth limited. I've set up a 9000 MB/week quota and created a rule with this quota with the source being the MAC address and the destination being any IP. However, despite there being traffic, the received and sent number of bytes is 0. I had the same setup working on this computer before I changed to a new motherboard. I'm using Windows XP Pro and have ZoneAlarm installed. How can I fix this problem?

Thanks!

The problem might either dynamic MAC address or ZoneAlarm itself. Try to use local host option instead of MAC Address as a source. If that doesn't help, try this solution.
