Priority when bridging

Has anyone tried managing bandwidth on a bridged connection?

This could make an excellent low-cost alternative to some commercial prioritisation appliances or, as in my case, provide a front-end to a router that is managed by a third party.

I've just answered my own question. It looks like bridging is in this latest version I've just activated.

If anyone is interested in this, let me know and I'll report back. smile

Because internal Windows bridging is not supported, we recommend to use the bandwidth manager built-in bridging features. Good luck with bandwidth management smile

You could always set the BWM machine up so as to enable IP forwarding (an intermediate router rather than bridge). The BWM machine would become the normal router for all workstations, then operate on another subnet using a second NCI to the router they used to use. No bridging required, just basic IP routing.

Sometimes you can get the answer faster if you try the forum search and/or have a look at the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
