port/ip priorities - skype, games etc.   20 December 2005, 07:12

hello,

i have installed SPBM successfully. it works very good but i need to set port / ip priority. For example low id for p2p, higher id www, mail and the highest id for games / skype. Without it when someone have a p2p and someone else play a game, there is a problem with pings. Normally it's 20~50 but once per minute or more there is a 200~500 and loss 50. i'v got 1000/256 connection and linux/shaper mashine have worked better.

i've got limits per ip: 102kb/s down, 18kb/s up. max dsl connection 126/28

i've got a p2p limits per ports too. up - 1,6kb/s (day)

is there any solution ?

i can see options
rate-type="0" rate-id="0" in configuration file (export) but it is always 0. there is no option in gui to change it I think.

Sorry, the current SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager release does not support dynamic bandwidth allocation with prioritization. This is a complex feature and perhaps it will be implemented closer to v3.0
