Losing network & internet connection   25 January 2006, 16:45

Hi,

I installed the latest SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager and after I reboot my computer I'm unable to connect to the internet. The internet firewall is disabled

I install the service and when the pc reboots it can't connect to the entire network, and when i uninstall the service everything gets back to normal

So what could be the reason that I can't connect to the internet?

Thanks,

Emmanuel

If the firewall is disabled, this does not mean that its kernel is unloaded and disabled. Most firewalls leave their driver loaded even if the firewall GUI is not active. As a solution, you can try temporary uninstalling the firewall.

The answer is just above your question. If you disable the firewall, this does not mean its kernel unloaded. Also see this topic.

Sometimes you can get the answer faster if you try the forum search and/or have a look at the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
