Double rate over VPN   28 February 2015, 15:28

hi there
I'm using NetWorx program for many years and it's superb!
Now I've installed a VPN program "kerio VPN client". When I'm connected to internet normally everything is okay. But through kerio VPN, the usage is calculated double.

These are applied settings:
1- ignore local traffic within LAN
2- in networks -> only networks selected below -> I've selected only the LAN nic
3- hidden option -> physical adapters only -> true

Is there anything I've forgot?

I guess Kerio installs another filter driver for VPN which results in this issue.

If you had previously chosen the TDI driver to install with NetWorx, try reinstalling the latest version of NetWorx at which time choose the WFP driver to install and reboot. If you had chosen the WFP driver, try installing TDI instead and reboot. If both the drivers cause your usage over VPN to double and you still need to exclude local traffic, try the following workaround with WinPCap:
  1. Backup your usage and uninstall NetWorx.
  2. Download and install WinPCap.
  3. Install latest NetWorx again leaving the "LAN Traffic Filtering Driver" option unticked.
  4. When NetWorx starts, you should be able to choose one of your adapters prefixed with "Ignore LAN Traffic" from the drop-down list in the NetWorx settings.
In this case NetWorx will be using the WinPCap driver and you shouldn't have any double recording anymore.

changing to WFP solved the problem!
