NetWorx starts before the network interface

NetWorx starts before the network interface   03 April 2015, 15:25

Hi,

I am running the latest version 5.3.4 32bit on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

I have the software setup to monitor an interface 'Router FRITZ!Box 7490', everything works great until I restart the computer. It seems that the software starts before the network interface as I have to stop the software and restart it every time for it to pick up the interface.

I have attached two images one after a computer restart and the other after a software restart, as you can see after the computer restart there is no 'Router FRITZ!Box 7490' option only 'Router' and then after the software restart 'Router' is replaced with 'Router FRITZ!Box 7490'.

This has been happening for sometime now not just this version.

As this is running on a computer that restarts itself if I forget to connect to it and restart your software then I miss out on monitoring the network traffic until I do restart your software and this could be days.

Hope something can be done.
Thanks
Rodney

Looks interesting. How much time does elapse between starting the system and restarting NetWorx manually?

For example, if you restart NetWorx immediately after you are logged in, does it pick up the router then?

Yes, I have tested and as soon as I can stop and restart NetWorx its fine.

If I setup a delayed start for NetWorx of 1 minute it works.

Please try these builds and let me know how it works.

It may still show 'Router' without the router's name in the drop-down list, but should start monitoring it immediately after startup.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have installed the version 5.3.4 32-bit and have rebooted the computer twice and both times it worked. And it come up with the router's name and not 'Router'.

Thanks
Rodney
