Inaccurate bandwidth usage   31 July 2015, 23:24

Could someone explain why the networx report is inaccurate? I get up to date reports from my isp, which are in line with my own readings/estimates. Networx reports almost twice that usage! "Ignore local traffic within LAN" is checked for both my pc's. This has been ongoing for the 2 months since I installed networx and I'm really confused. Why would networx report so much more usage?

If it's 'exactly' double and both computers are:
1) on all the time,
2) monitoring your router and
3) you have them sync-ing,
then your totals would be double since both are reporting the same usage.

What are you monitoring....... etc?

Another possibility is when using the Ignore LAN traffic mode, if there's another TDI driver installed in the system, it may cause NetWorx to report double bandwidth.

Two possible solutions are:
  1. Use WinPCap driver instead or
  2. Set Usage Adjustment Factor to 0.5 in application's hidden settings
