UPNP Monitoring ASUS DSL-AC68U 05 April 2016, 19:00 |

Hi I have a ASUS DSL-AC68U Router and I am trying to use the UPNP Monitoring as SNMP is not enabled on the router. If the router reboot or disconnect the NetWorx program loose the Gateway Name and Interface and I have to manually rediscover it. Can I "hard code" it in an ini file or the registry? Thanks

Please try this build and let me know if the issue persists and NetWorx doesn't resume monitoring.

In order to troubleshoot it, please follow these steps:
- Download the debug portable build.
- Unpack it into a temporary folder.
- Configure it to monitor the router.
- Check if networx.log was created in the folder.
- Disconnect or reboot the router.
- Wait for a few minutes to let NetWorx pick it up.
- If the router was not picked up after all, send me the log to support@softperfect.com or ZIP it and attach here.

After reviewing the log, I can tell the issue occurs because the router doesn't adhere to the UPnP standard. Every UPnP device has a Unique Device Name (UDN) and while the UPnP architecture recommends that the UDN be unchanged across device reboots, your router does change it. This makes it appear as a new device to NetWorx.
I have added a workaround that tries to find the device by its name. Please try the latest build and let me know if it picks up the router after a restart. It may take slightly over 5 minutes for NetWorx to do so.
