Exclude a program from recording   31 August 2016, 18:33

Hi All,

Is it possible that you can exclude a program from the "Usage Report"?
Like for instance Firefox.

I don't want to have the program, or the traffic from it, in the charts I can make in the program. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

No, it's not possible. Why would you want this anyway?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your answer.

I have a program which is running a database (on the same PC). Some programs, like Netlimiter, is seeing this as Internet traffic (from the program to the database, and back again). But in the automatic reports which i send by email I don't want to have this traffic. Is there an other way to prevent such programs from beaning taken up by Networx?

Thanks in advance.

I understand your intention to exclude this traffic, but it should be automatically excluded if this database connection is local. Technically this means that all traffic between the following addresses is ignored:
IPv4:
10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255
169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255
224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255

IPv6:
fe80::/10
fc00::/7
ffx2::/16
Perhaps you are using a different addressing scheme? Or try adding the range of 127.0.0.1 through 127.0.0.255 to be ignored under the Setup button.

Thanks for the answer. I will experiment with the settings.
