Question on licensing for older versions

Question on licensing for older versions   30 April 2017, 00:13

Are older versions still available for free download and use? Or are all versions now payware?

Is it permitted to send an older free installer file to someone else?

We don't keep older free versions available for download anymore. However they can still be found on other web-sites. Just make sure you are using a reputable site and the files you are downloading are safe. Sharing the freeware versions with family/friends/colleagues is also perfectly legal.

Software licences cannot be changed retroactively. In other words, the versions that were freeware stay freeware, even if future versions of that software are no longer free.
