Recent NetWorx versions show no traffic when monitoring router using SNMP   01 September 2025, 22:33

I've been a happy NetWorx user for years, now licensed. When I upgraded to version 25.7, I was able to configure router SNMP monitoring as before, but the new version never shows any traffic.

I thought perhaps the problem was that I was using Windows 8.1. So I finally upgraded to Windows 11. But the problem with router monitoring in NetWorx 25.7 remains.

Reverting to NetWorx 7.2 resolved the problem, but there are some features in newer versions that I'd like to try.

I've attached two screenshots showing router monitoring setup in NetWorx 7.2 and NetWorx 25.7. As you can see, the configuration and test results look identical.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

One more thing: it would be nice to have a setting for SNMP polling interval.

Thanks!

This does look unusual. Since the router details are retrieved successfully, communication via SNMP is clearly working, but for some reason the newer version is not displaying traffic.

To investigate further, could you please download snmpwalk and run the following command in a command prompt:
snmpwalk -r:192.168.0.1 -os:.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2 -op:.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.3 > output1.txt
This will dump the full ifTable. After a short delay, please run the same command again but save it to a different file, for example:
snmpwalk -r:192.168.0.1 -os:.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2 -op:.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.3 > output2.txt
After that, send us both files using our contact form, and we'll analyse them to identify the issue.

Regarding your request for a configurable SNMP polling interval: at the moment it cannot be changed. It is fixed at 1s to ensure correct speed calculation and real-time charting. Using shorter or longer intervals would result in less accurate readings. That said, I'd be interested to hear what you had in mind for a different interval, just so we can better understand your use case.
