Settings, license and data are lost every time I quit macOS app

Hi,

I'm using NetWorx for Mac (Business License) and experiencing a critical issue where all settings, license key, and usage data are lost every time I quit the application.

Environment:
- macOS M2 & M3 (latest version)
- NetWorx downloaded from official website (macOS disk image)
- Installed by dragging to Applications folder
- Business license purchased

Problem:
Every time I quit NetWorx (not just restart/shutdown the Mac), the following happens:
- All settings reset to default
- License key is gone, showing "Trial Version"
- All usage logs are empty
- The setup wizard appears again as if it's a fresh install

This happens consistently - even just quitting and immediately reopening the app triggers the issue.

What I've tried:
- Granted Full Disk Access permission to NetWorx.app
- Verified the app is properly installed in /Applications
- Checked the expected database location: '/Users/Shared/Library/Preferences/SoftPerfect/NetWorx/' - this folder does NOT exist
- '/Users/Shared/Library/' exists but is empty
- Running 'mdfind -name "networx"' only shows CrashReporter plist files, no database files

It appears NetWorx is unable to create or write to its data folder, so all data is stored temporarily and lost when the app quits.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

Thank you for the detailed report. This behaviour indicates that NetWorx is unable to create or write to its data directory, so everything is lost when the app quits.

Could you please check the following?

1. Verify permissions on the shared library folder

Open Terminal and run:
ls -la /Users/Shared/
Please share the output. We need to confirm that the Library folder there is writable.

2. Try creating the directory manually

Run these commands in Terminal:
sudo mkdir -p "/Users/Shared/Library/Preferences/SoftPerfect/NetWorx"
sudo chmod -R 777 "/Users/Shared/Library/Preferences/SoftPerfect"
You'll be prompted for your administrator password. After that, relaunch NetWorx, enter your licence key, change any setting, quit, reopen, and check whether your changes are now retained correctly.

Let us know if this helped or if the issue persists.
Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. I ran the commands and the issue is now resolved: settings, license, and data are all preserved after quitting the app.

The folder was successfully created and NetWorx is now able to write its database there.

Thanks again for the quick support!
