Incorrect shared folder security permissions

Incorrect shared folder security permissions   16 September 2013, 23:39

Hi,
I'm getting a strange behaviour when scanning for shared folders in my domain.
Even if SoftPerfect Network Scanner reports a bunch of shared folders with security set to Everyone and also Everyone enabled on readers writers, if I check it on the folder I can't see that correspondence.
Anyone can help me decipher tool indications?
What's wrong?
I'll attach a screenshot of the situation.

What does icacls print? Launch this in a command prompt:
icacls \\x.x.x.x\prisma
where x.x.x.x is the IP address in question.

Well it looks like a bug in the network scanner.

Would you be willing to assist with debugging it by running a small compiled piece of the network scanner's code that I will email you, so that we can track where and why it fails?

this can save me a lot of time in my monthly security assessments, actually I cannot use network scanner info because of this incorrect results! wink
