Hi,

Just tried your new build, using the feature Get from Active Directory. I just get the error: "A referral was returned from the server" Do it require full Domain Admin access, because in our enterprise, I don't have that level of access?

Probably not.

A referral is sent by an AD server when it doesn't have the information requested itself, but knows that another server has the info.

Have you got more than one domain?

Yes we have an forest containing a root domain, then 5 child domains. Maybe if there was an option to specify a domain controller, it would the make the connection?

Try the latest version (5.5.3), it should allow you to modify the LDAP connection string so that you can connect to a different domain.

Yes that now works smile

Because of the limit on the number of host's I have to specify an OU (<LDAP://OU=Leeds,OU=Desktops,OU=England,DC=Eng,DC=xxxxx,DC=co,DC=uk> wink

It would be an advantage if Netscan remembered your last string each time. At present it defaults back to the default root.

The latest build remembers the custom AD string.
