Network Scanner blocked by malware protection   26 March 2015, 07:00

Hi,
The latest release of Network Scanner 6.0.5 is being blocked by McAfee Web Gateway being flagged as containing a virus as follows:
File: netscan.zip
Media Type: application/zip
Virus Name: McAfeeGW: Artemis!FE81E169FDD3

What can be done?

This is false positive and happens quite often. All we can do is to notify the antivirus companies of a false positive, so they whitelist the current release. Yet as soon as a new version comes out, the detections may appear again sad
