RAMDisk retention

Hi,
I am using Windows 8 and RamDisk 3.4.2 64bit. I have a HDD and a SSD are set to run Intel Smart Response.
I don't understand why the RAMdisk retent the data after shut down and start?
I want to disable it. Please help me.

This is because Windows 8 does what's known as hybrid shutdown.

Before restarting, it dumps all its kernel memory to a disk and restores it on startup.

Check this article on how to turn off hybrid shutdown or perform a full shutdown at will.
