Hi,

When RAM Disk is installed on our machines with SCCM client, any SCCM Task Sequence which contains step "Restart Computer" failed to run on these machines with the following errors:

Failed to get unique id (0x8000700EA)
Failed to convert Y: to unique volume id. Code : 0x800700ea
Failed to convert protected paths to unique ID. Error code 0x800700ea
Failed to reboot the system. Error 0x800700ea)
Failed to initialize a system reboot. More data is available. (Error: 800700EA; Source: Windows)
Fatal error is returned in check for reboot request of the action (Restart Computer). More data is available. (Error: 800700EA; Source: Windows)
An error (0x800700ea) is encountered in execution of the task sequence.

Any help please?

Some applications do not work correctly with standalone volumes, which can be seen as I/O errors or simply the inability to access a RAM disk, which seems to be the case here.

Try enabling the Hard Disk Emulation option in the RAM disk settings. This option emulates a complete HDD with partitions indistinguishable from a real device. The downside is that there is an extra layer of emulation that can reduce the RAM disk performance by 5-10%.
