Will uninstall remove usage data? 31 December 2013, 15:14

Haven't been able to update Networx 2.5.9 to 2.5.11 . After running the .11 installer, the about page shows .11 until this computer restarts. Then shows .9 again. Rather than ask for a .10 exe, I'd like to know if uninstalling .9 and installing .11 fresh will retain the usage data. Or, should I make a copy of the database prior to uninstalling?

Normally NetWorx installations are upgradeable. You'd install the newest version over an older version and in that case all usage records would be retained.

If however you uninstall it first, it will remove any records from that computer (as a nice program it cleans up after itself), so if you go this way, do make a backup to preserve your usage data.
