Macros in names of Automatic Reports files   21 January 2016, 21:46

Hi,

I would like to know (there is no reference to this in the User Manual) if you can use macros in the "File" field of the "Reports" tab of the "Settings".

I would like to save daily, weekly and monthly HTML reports, but if I put one filename for each of them NetWorx overrides the same 3 files every day, week and month respectively.
Therefore I would like to put a macro (like the creation date, or simply a progressive number) in order to avoid this problem.

I hope I was clear in explaining my problem and I hope that there is a solution to it

Thanks

There is no macro or variable that can be used in the file names, because we didn't expect it to be used this way.

I guess it's possible to add it, but what's the point in keeping those generated reports if you can build a report over any period at any time in NetWorx?

Just because in this way I don't have to generate them manually

No worries, I have added macro variables in the latest builds:

Use any combination of the following tokens, each enclosed between two percent signs: y, yy, yyyy, m, mm, mmm, mmmm, d, dd, ddd, dddd, h, hh, n, nn, s, ss. For example:
%yyyy%-%mmm%-%dd%.htm
