How to fix the "database is locked" error   05 April 2020, 15:40

I rebooted my Win 10 Dell PC and tried to open NetWorx but got this error message:

Exception ESQLiteException in module networx.exe at 0000000000374A28.
TDiskDB: The database file is locked: database is locked.

Can I correct this somehow, or should I just uninstall it and rerun the executable? I'd rather rescue what I have for historical reasons.

It looks like the database file may be opened by another process, e.g. an antivirus/security product. It is hard to tell whether a re-install can prevent this from happening again, but it's worth trying the latest version.

Installing the latest version over the existing one should keep your data unchanged, but, just to be sure, please back up C:\ProgramData\SoftPerfect\NetWorx. Note, it's ProgramData, not Program Files. Also, that folder may be hidden; if so, this page explains how to show hidden folders in Windows 10.
