I appreciate your answers to my questions in other threads. That said, I have two more. First: when I scan, the shared folder security or readers or writes may contain a line that read Everyone: R or RWF. But the subsequent lines will be blank. Additional question, No DACL? If I understand this correctly, this means that everyone has full access?

Scripting the Network Scanner for multiple subnets and locations

I have a need to script multiple sites. I have quite a few subnets from different locations to scan. I could enter all the subnets and let the program run, but then I will have to clean up/separate each location manually. Or can I have a script use the EXE to scan subnets and create the results as named locations?

Writable shared folders in NetScan

I would like to know, if NetScan indicates that a folder is writable - how confident is this? Let me explain: I see shared folder security as writable, Everyone. I see shared folders as writable. Is this tested by Netscan? For example, does it create a temporary file on each share to confirm this or is this simply because of the displayed permissions? My boss would like me to sweep each folder ma
