2 sites 2 internet 1 network with Point2Point

Hi All, this is little bit out of topic, but still related to BWM, is there anybody have any experience or been deal with this condition?...i only need an advice. i have 2 sites, with 2 internet connection, and then i have point2point(WAN) connection as well, what i need is, how to keep those 2 internet connection work separately, and those point2point network which makes 2 of our sites

unless you have 2 NIC in your laptop, and you have to have your laptop turn-on all the times if the other laptop are using internet.

Hi All, at least i just found out why it's happening like that, so if i go to client pc and enter the connection setting, and enable proxy, it will work straight away...so meaning it's not "transparent" anymore, however if i restore the default setting of internet explorer setting...and make it become transparent again, then client pc doesn't work or won't connect to internet anymore

Hi All, i've just found 1 problem that probably you guys can help. I've tried installed BWM and Squid together in windows server 2008. BWM works fine, but when i tried to apply squid through BWM (check to enable it), it seems it's slowing down the connection. so for example i ping-out to the other IP, let say: ping www.google.com -t, before i enable the squid, all are fine, but when i ch

Hi all, i've installed Squid with BWM, it's works well. but i want to make password per user basis, i've tried to browse around, and it seems most of the tutorial is based on Linux O/S not under windows. could anybody help for this issue?...or providing some links, that would be much appreciate... Hi Andrew, can i do the setting like this: client 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.200 >> through squid. and then in those scope, there is 5 of them are allow to access some certain website. the things is, all of them are using DHCP, so meaning, 5 of the users, which is are allow to accessing some website, we use MAC address to authenticate through squid as well. is it possible? Hi Andrew, i found that link as well, but it's sometimes confusing. what i need actually is simple, from 100 users(dynamic IP), all of them can't access to youtube, but 5 of them (part of 100 users) are able to access youtube, that's it. anyway...i'll try to look at those tutorial carefully once again... Hi again shunt010, i've tried installed squid, and it done successfully, and i follow all instruction which is andrew gave me (links). but when i try to check "through port mapping", then the client internet won't work anymore, and it will back working again if i uncheck the "through port mapping" would you mind to help me only to give me any link related to squid proper

Hi shunt010m i've tried win32 version and, after 1 whole day dealing with it....i couldn't make it run...even my computer (with BWM) and the rest of client couldn't get into the internet, but i still can ping to internet. actually i follow all of the way to get it done...start from rename the .conf files....until editing the .conf file...but still. is there anything that i did it wrong? Hi Andrew, yes i'm using router, not using xp ICS, and use the bridging setting as well. but just curious about the "serve" clients, because as you know, XP Prof can only accepting 10 user accessing to its resources, let's say file-sharing, different with Win Server that unlimited. so, is it going to be the same for BWM? which mean is it going to effect user acceptance?

ok, here's the layout XP home can ping unto server2003, but from XP pro can't ping server2003. both of the LANCard on XPPro are Bridged. thanks Andrew.

Hi Andrew, i've a question, the scheme is like this: 1. Server 2003 as a file sharing (Active Directory) 2. Windows XP pro (BWM) with 2 LANcard Bridging by BWM 3. Users (XP Home). from XP home i can ping to Server 2003, also can ping to XP pro(BWM) 2nd Lancard. but from XP pro(BWM), i can't ping to Server 2003. please advise. thanks.

i have a range IP, let's say IP range from 192.168.1.8-192.168.1.200, inside of that groups of IP's, it's contain students and Lectures, but the things is, how can i limit the students and lectures differently?...which is currently, the IP's is Dynamic?...if i using mac address as a ID to block, but what if the students brings their own laptop? thanks.
